My name is Patrick Merrigan.
     I am the current manager of our family-owned full-service accounting firm. Changes to tax law and policies

Although a full accounting of every change and nuance in these new laws and policies isn’t feasible here, several key points stand out. Be aware on how they may impact your situation. Remember there maybe regulations and limitations for these new laws

Tips are no longer taxable up to twenty five thousand dollars maximum.
Overtime hours are now tax exempt.
Interest paid on the purchase of an America made vehicle is now a tax deduction.
Individuals 65 and older will receive six thousand dollar deduction.
Increase in child tax credit
There has been an increase to the state, local, and property taxes deductions from your federal income tax.
